All-State Recognition

On April 28th, the Florida State Lacrosse Coaches Association (FSLCA) announced their inaugural All-State team and Nease Senior D/LSM Matthew Pounder was selected. According to their website, the FSLCA All-State team will be "the best players in the state, public or private, as chosen by coaches in the state and the FSLCA selection committee." The selection committee included 12 committee members and 2 Co-chairman. Each region was represented on the committee.

Pounder, a four year Varsity player, finished the shortened season with 9 goals, 2 assists, 46 ground balls, and 5 caused turnovers. Pounder also had 5 extra man goals. For his career, he finished with 31 goals, 12 assists and 223 ground balls, which ranks second in program history. His 31 goals and 43 points are believed to be program records for a long-pole.  

Pounder will attend Jacksonville University next year and play lacrosse.
